City police were patrolling near 4th and Gordon Streets on Thursday, April 27, when they spotted a group of offroad vehicles — allegedly including an ATV — "riding illegally and dangerously in the roadway," the department said in a release.

Officers tried to pull them over, but all of the riders fled the scene, police wrote.

Authorities later obtained a search warrant for a house on the 300 block of North 5th Street, where they say they located and seized the ATV.

The owner, 23-year-old Hector Noel Ocasio, was arrested and charged with eluding police, disorderly conduct, and 13 traffic-related offenses, according to the release.
